Abstract
|

|
Xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis of the kidney usually occurs in association with urinary tract infection. obstruction and calculi.
The diagnosis is made when a nephrectomy is performed for a nonfunctioning kidney or a mass indistinguishable from carcinoma. We experienced incidentally a case of xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis. so the pathologic features and clinical presentation were discussed and the literature was reviewed.
